Orange County Auto Repair
The first speakers were Keith and Karin with Neighborhood Car Care, an Orange County auto repair shop. Keith who is a certified mechanic and smog technician offered the audience some great tips for their cars. The first tip Keith shared was perhaps the most interesting. He stated that many car thieves use tow trucks to steal cars but that you can discourage them from towing your car away by turning your wheels to the far left or right. This trick keeps many thieves from being able to tow your car away.
The second tip Keith gave us was to look in the back of your car before you get in. Most cars have internal lights that go on when a car is unlocked allowing you to see if there might be anyone in your car. Looking in the back of the car before you enter can save your life.
Keith's final tip dealt with generic tabs that are part of some car trunks. Keith advised that everyone read their car's owner manual to learn how to disable these tabs in order to keep people from opening your trunk and stealing Christmas gifts. Many would be thieves scour parking lots looking for trunks that will grant them easy access to the inside of your car. Losing personal belongings and gifts can be both heartbreaking and expensive so read those manuals!

Orange County Permanent Makeup
Our second speaker was Candace Nichols of "Beauty Marks by Candace", which offers its clients Orange County permanent makeup solutions. To begin her presentation Candace passed around before and after photos of some of her clients, all of which impressed those in attendance. Permanent makeup allows women to spend less time in the mirror applying makeup everyday and to spend more time enjoying life and knowing that they always look great. Candace can apply eyelash perms and tints, airbrush tanning, eyebrows, eyeliner, lipstick, and many other types of permanent makeup.
After passing out the before and after pictures of her clients, Candace proceeded to speak about how she applies permanent makeup to her clients. She told us that she applies everything using the "hand method" which gives the makeup a natural look. Candace was also quick to point out that despite what you might have heard about the application of permanent makeup it is a virtually painless process and one that even those with low pain tolerances will have problem with.
Candace then explained that her services work great for women to vacation frequently, those who are planning a wedding, and professional ladies who are busy and tired of applying the same makeup up day after day. Candace also offers gift certificates which make great gifts for wives and girlfriends!
